Anyone tried taking a laptop, mainly to edit the pics on the run, but also to try to piggy-back on their wireless broadband connection? I refuse to pay their mental prices for access. confusedsmi

I've taken mine. It was great for downloading the photos.
I don't think you'll be able to "piggy back" on their wireless connection. You can only get into it by buying time. They give you a password to get in. I found it more convenient than using their computers as you never have to wait for one to come free and you can type up your email before going on line, which saves time and makes it cheaper.
I'll be taking mine again when we board the Navigator in a couple of weeks.

Sorry, I'm being thick....if you can't log on to their wireless, how do you use yours instead of theirs for email?

I do use the ship's wireless, but it's not free - you have to pay for it. I write my emails in Word on the laptop, then log on to their wireless connection to send them.
