Hi,
I'm going on the Navigator on the 16th and I'm wanting to book a taxi to take us back home at the end of the cruise. The disembarkation schedule which used to be on the wakelover website gaves times for disembarkation for different decks and onward locations, are these times the same on all cruises or do they change? We're on deck 10 so our time for disembarkation is 0750 (according to the schedule) how long does it take to get off the ship and collect the luggage.
I would like to arrange a time for the taxi so that we don't need to wait too long in the terminal.
thanks
Niall

Hi - its difficult to say because so many factors need to be taken into consideration. If you live within "taxiable" distance from the port you should find taxis waiting outside. Alternatively - why not order your taxi once you hear your number called!
As I say once we were called we were off the ship with our luggage in about 10 minutes - but that was us....we found our luggage easily enough and we were off. Its a bit difficult to give actual advice!

when we were on Navigator in june , i misread our luggage label colour eeksmii thought it was lilac, but it was actually purple. but we went with the lilac call , and guess what our luggage was already there smilesmi. i do believe that they just do it for organisation to a degree , obviously we cant all charge off at once so there has to be a system , but if for instance your luggage code colour is expected for you to disembark at say 8.30, i do think if you got off ship at just after 8 , you luggage will be there !!!

We were on deck 10 and independent travellers, our luggage labels were light blue and our disembarkation time was 0745. We went down to Studio B at 0740 and I'd only just made myself a cup of tea when we were called.
We went straight off, through the green channel with a complete absence of customs officers and found our luggage in the arrival hall without difficulty.
We were outside by 0805 so I called my taxi driver to let him know we were early as I'd booked for 0830. Eventually he arrived at 0855, we were freezing and not very happy, the driver didn't even apologise and in fact didn't even speak, he drove like a lunatic and we were home by 0920. Needless to say he didn't get a tip and I won't use that firm again.
Anyway it looks like the disembarkation times were similar, to the ones on the old website.
can't wait to do it again

We carried our luggage off the ship ourselves which meant we could leave when we wanted. It only took us 10 minutes from cabin to car and that included waiting a few minutes for the lift,

Personally I think the whole disembarkation process should be banned and you should be allowed to stay onboard as long as you want!!! foxes_279
