How do I insert smilies into my messages?

I just seem to get the word (smilesmi, 24smi etc) rather than the little icon.

Dunno what happened there - icons appeared instead of the words. I'm confused!

Are you supposed to type the word then, instead of clicking on the icon?

Hi Ginny - you should just be able to click on the icon and it will pop it in there for you.
