We have seen an interesting cruise on Sea Princess. I was wondering if any folks have sailed on her recently and what sort of shape she's in. I have heard she is a lovely ship??

I think TS is sailing on her soon too so will look forward to that report...smilesmi

we were on her in June this year and she was looking fine....in fact we thought things had improved since our previous cruise on her in 2005. No complaints at all except that the food in the buffet was seldom hot...but the food in the main restaurant (where you could have breakfast and lunch) was piping hot and excellent!

Well I have heard very good reports - mind you what she'll look like after TS has been on her is anyone's guess!!!! 24smi24smi

Another question - how is her motion in the ocean (being a smaller ship)???

We had quite lumpy crossings over the Bay of Biscay both ways and it wasn't tooooo bad...we were on Baha deck on the back half of the ship and I just felt the need to take just one Stugeron tablet before I went to bed one night...several people were seasick and I felt quite queazy the first morning when we went up to Breakfast so after that we ate all meals in the Dining room down on Deck 5 (I think) while it was rough. I think the secret is to keep as low as poss. and in the centre of the ship ...if you can see outside look at the horizon. My partner John felt perfectly OK the whole time! It certainly wouldn't put me off going on this ship. By the way it still looks pretty big in spite of being a 'smaller' ship!!!!!

Hello Judy,
DW and I were on that trip in June. Can't say I noticed the swell in the Bay though. Must be getting my sea legs at last.
I thought the ship was really in good shape throughout, a lot of work had been done to the public areas when she was laid up in Southampton with her engine problems and of course everyone, including the crew, were really happy to be at sea again.
I don't think she would suit you though Wakie, one of the ways into the casino is through the pizza restaurant, where Mary hides, and I couldnt see you not stopping in there.
Sea Princess, and the rest of her class, are beautiful ships and well worth trying. I'll be on her again in January 2008 and will most probably play my favourite bandit, Denver Duck, again. Oh how I miss it.

Not much I'm afraid. Booked on the Sea for 19th January so February will be a dull month. Ventura in April and Aurora in September.
What are you doing?
