Nanny- if you're OK booking with a US agent take a look at Royal Caribbean's weekly Promowave specials- www.creative.rccl.com/sales/promowave/RCL.pdf
They have some great prices at present for late Nov/early Dec - for a 14 day you would have to book a back2back cruise as the ones listed are 7 days.
Also Princess.com has some really nice cruises- I like the look of the Emerald Princess 10day from Fort Lauderdale, but they have lots of exotics on sale 14 days Southern Caribbean.
Enjoy smilesmi

Thanks Cruise Fairy have looked at a 15 night transatlantic hot deals (RCI) from Barcelona I think it was. Dec 1st very good deal (it seems we now qualify for the senior rates) gosh didn't realise we were that old lolol but would need flights out to Barcelona from UK then back from Dominican Rep. Not sure how much that would amount too. The frustrating is madsmi I won't be able to book anywhere until maybe the week before or as late as possible really. It's a good job I didn't take the chance with the last dates I was looking at.
Thanks for the sites will browse them with interest. Nanny
ps how did the cruise with the teenager go?

Nanny- if you're interested in a transatlantic you MUST look at the bargains on Norwegian Gem from Barcelona to Boston- I wish I could go,they're practically giving them away. Flights should be easy enough to book, but the flights are the sticking point in terms of price if you don't book far enough in advance.
There's always a catch,isn't there?
I usually cruise with teens so have a great time with them.
I just cruised without, just down to the Bahamas and it was a bit quiet without them, but I could do all the things I wanted to do instead of asking "Well what do YOU want to do"?

Nanny- that is Norwegian Cruise Line's brand new ship. Have a look at www.ncl.com - I seem to recall that Pip from shiphappens was booking on that one. Prices are good. With a transatlantic (no stops of course) you really want a great ship as that IS your resort.
Not a lot of people want to do transatlantic in winter it seems, but if you're a good sailor go for it
Well I wouldn't say NO problems smilesmi but none we can't handle.....
