We have always praised RCI for their ongoing maintenance of their ships... but on Explorer we saw more of the maintenance guys in our cabin than anyone else!!!

We boarded to find a Wet Paint sign on our balcony window.

Then we had a call from Maintenance Officer on another day saying they were going to access our cabin and when would it be convenient for us to leave. He was very nice - but pointed out that the balcony was being painted again and we might want to keep the door closed for a couple of days because of the smell of paint

Another day we returned to the cabin to find paint chippings all over the balcony... they had been sanding the overhang above us.

Then the jacuzzi didnt work - but they fixed that.

Then they came again to change a telephone wire - even though the phone in the loo worked fine!!

Then there were 2 light bulb replacement visits.

Then they came to check that the shower was ok

Then they came to varnish a cupboard (admittedly on disembarkation day)

Not to mention fixing the vanity mirror which fell off in my hand blushredsm

Ah well... at least they keep on top of it all. We got quite used to coming into the cabin and finding a maintenance chap there... they are very friendly so no harm done! happysm
