Hi folks just wondering we are thinking of 7 night cruise next year from southampton but are really wanting to do a few days somewhere before hand just going for 7 nights doesnt seem long enough when we are coming from way up here. Just wondering does anyone know what Southampton has to offer for three ladies (well 2 woman and a 8 year old). where thinking maybe coming down on the Tuesday so would be there three days.

From Southampton....lots of options.....like Isle of Wight....the ferry is not far...you could do a day there or a few nights. Also Southampton has good rail links to Bournemouth and the New Forest........Winchester and Salisbury aren't too far either........in fact quite a bit of choice. whistlesm

I was actually thinking of more in Southampton itself anyone any ideas any nice shops or anything happysm

Well there are plenty of shops but touristy things include various walks....I think they include the Old Town, Jane Austen, Titanic. There are also bus links for open top buses in the New Forest. Lots of museums too.

I was actually just thinking they have lots of theatres might wait until neither the time and see if there are any on that might be suitable to take the little angel toohappysm. Last time we where there we only really did the railway station and TGI Fridays (is that what its called it dont look rightconfusedsmi)

Bournemouth has got two, The Bic www.bic.co.uk and the Pavillion both have good things going on and not far from southampton..
