Hi all
I've got a quote of £1095 for a balcony cabin from Savensail to go on the Voyager of the Seas on 12 July 2008. There is the possibility of a free upgrade from a D3 to the highest in the category, but it's not guaranteed. I've just got a quote from Vacations to Go in the US for the same cruise for £845 plus free onboard credit of $75 per cabin - a big difference!
Has anyone used Vacations to Go? I'm just a bit worried about how safe my money is, but I suppose if I pay by credit card that will be okay. How does it work for tickets? And as this is our 2nd RCCL cruise and we joined the C&A after our last one, how do we go about making sure this new cruise is registered to it.
Many thanks! http://wakelover.myfreeforum.org/images/smiles/icon/icon_rolleyes.gif

Hi,We have just booked with this company and we also got a very competitive price. We dealt with Spike Ring who was very professional. The exchange rate is very favourable for us at the moment. Don't hold me to it but I'm sure they are a safe company to use. Hope this helps. Enjoy your cruise.

Hi Denise
Well I booked with them! It was Kevin Holden I dealt with. We managed to get an Aft cabin (9392). The total is just over £900 each as this cabin grade is more expensive than the original quote for a lower category balcony cabin, but Kevin says that the balconies on the Aft cabins are much bigger than those on the side.
I checked a few other UK agents and none could come near to that price. We had to pay $500 deposit which I suppose you had to pay too, but I'm not worried as I haven't been able to find any bad comments about Vacations to Go, and my credit card company should protect me anyway.
Somebody has told me that US travel agents pass on savings to their customers if travel companies reduce prices or introduce special offers. That doesn't happen here does it? Once you've booked, that's it. So I'll have to keep an eye out for anything that RCCL come up with before now and next July, and if anything good comes up I'll be back on the phone to Kevin in Houston, Texas! http://wakelover.myfreeforum.org/images/smiles/foxes/foxes_279.gif

Mim- I know Pip from Shiphappens has used them and I haven't heard anything negative about them.
US agents are not allowed to undercut RCCL's prices but they can offer perks such as OBC as an incentive to book.
Re reduced prices- check your booking conditions- most online companies do honor price drops and pass them onto you, but not all, and it should be spelled out for you . Also with US booking you can cancel without penalty up to 70 days prior to 7 day sailing, be sure to check prices frequently- they often fluctuate around the 70 day window as rooms open up from cancellations that were previously considered Sold... You can get price drops from RCCL before and after final payment. They won't bring it to your attention, monitor those prices!

Thanks for the tip - I'll definitely be monitoring those prices!

That's the week before we go. Is that RCCL website price, Savensail or Vacations to Go? Our final price with VTG works out at £880 inclusive of all taxes, port taxes etc because the Aft balcony cabin we've got is a higher category. We've also been given $75 on board credit. And if RCCL have any special deals or reductions nearer to the cruise, VTG will honour them and reduce our price or give us extra on-board offers.
We live in Liverpool and can book very cheap easyjet flights from Liverpool to Barcelona too.
I trawled the net and couldn't find a better offer. Savensail were next best but still nearly £1100 with no on board credit.
