I am sailing on Navigator of the Seas from Southampton on 06/10/07 with my other half. His parents are driving us to the port and have asked if there is somewhere they can go later to watch when the ship sails. Does anybody have any suggestions or is there a part of the cruise terminal they can go into at all?

Hi Lostpuppy80,

they would get a good view from Mayflower Park which is just next to the cruise terminal, beside the Red Funnel ferry teminal.

Hi, we watched the sailaway from the Queen Victoria Country Park, Hamble. Great picnic areas and a brilliant view as the ships head off. Dont forget to tell them to take binoculars so they can sit back and enjoy the view. http://wakelover.myfreeforum.org/images/smiles/valentine/Happy.gif

About an hour and a half after sailing the ships pass by Lee on the Solent and Stokes Bay (further around the coast) before heading around the Isle of Wight...usually a good view from the long seafronts there. My kids go to watch us when we sail from Southampton.
