Yes, thanks Donna,

Hasn't put my Mum off going cruising either after she also went down with it on the Van Gogh 2 years back, so I wonder which clever soft arse forgot to use the toilet paper when wiping theirs bringing the "little" bugger aboard with them giving everyone concerned a memorable cruise on the Ventura this time round???

Cheers

Pete...

When we joined Arcadia for our last cruise, we were informed that they were on high alert due to some passengers being ill. The precautions put in place were fantastic. We still had to laugh though as people moaned that they weren't allowed to serve themselves at the buffet areas, moaned that they weren't allowed to handle the knives and forks (pre wrapped an handed to you by staff in gloves) and i even heard people moaning because the salt and pepper pots had been removed at the dinning tables.

It doesn't seem to matter what p&O do people will still find things to moan about. I for one was quite happy for this to be implemented for the first few days to ensure no outbreak after all i would have rather been well than ill and not able to enjoy any of my holiday.

In fact Vicky actually met one passenger in the bar who was moaning that he had been confined to cabin and was going to sue P&O because it had ruined his holiday only to continue to tell her that he had stayed in there anyway and had gone for meals and buffets etc. It's passengers like that, that cause these problems.

Best thing to do is take little bottles of sanitiser with you so your being extra safe. But like everyone says it can ans will happen on any ship never mind how new or old it is. But P&O have got santiser at every restaurant and there are waiters standing at the entrance to make sure you use it. Theres not a lot more that they can do!

I think I've posted this before somewhere... but when we were on Ventura upon entering the dining room I asked where the hand sanitiser was. The reply (which followed his laughing at me tut):

'We dont have one here in the dining room as it isnt a buffet and you arent handling anything' surprisesmisurprisesmi
