This is what SS put in the original hurricane season thread (see he has his usesgiggle)

"Again according to the AOML, there's a "very peaked season from August to October", with:
78% of the tropical storm days
87% of the "minor" hurricane days
96% of the "major" hurricane days
And within this peak hurricane season, early to mid-September is the pinnacle. "

It will be fine but Im sure it was a Canada and New England cruise that the Athena was on because I was thinking of going on it but changed my mind (must have known) but its like I always say just because its December dont mean it will snow. Anyway it will be great you will have great time and we will hear all about it

Wakie or Wakesworth as you want to be called just been talking to SS and he says this about hurricanes in Canada
Hi Donna, thanks for your message.
Essentially the answer is generally no, especially on the Pacific side but occasionally yes on the Eastern seaboard of Canada.
In reality most are tropical storms, as hurricanes usually dissapate by the time they get to Canada as the waters around Canada are cold.
Canada does not have a "hurricane season" as such but is effected occasionally and has suffered limited devastation caused by hurricanes moving up from tropical waters further south.
I hope this answers your question!
Take care

SS
and he also said this
Donna I should point out that although Canada does not have a "Hurricane Season", if it is going to happen it will coincide with the Caribbean hurricane season.
So thanks to Surrey Snow for that info looks like you should be ok Wakiehappysm.
