Looks like I'm the first to post in this forum!

We're on this ship next July (Barcelona, Nice, Florence, Rome, Naples, Sicily, Cruising, Barcelona.

We like doing our own thing in ports - especially beaches but with some sightseeing too. And hints or tips for life onboard will be appreciated, and the same for the port visits.

The best way to get to Rome and back will be good. And we'd like to see Pompeii and Capri in the one day if possible too.

Hi mim,we are on VOS in May doing the same ports. We have been to Naples a few times and Pompeii and Capri should be possible in one day but the office where you buy tickets for Capri etc was bedlam so we chickened out and as yet have not been to Capri!

If I want to get to the right place at the right time, I HAVE to do it. He's far too 'last minute' to organise anything properly!

Capri is definitely worth a visit - we did the RCI tour of Capri, Sorrento and Pompeii in one day. We were exhausted by the end of it (and could have given Sorrento a miss to spend more time in Capri).

We definitely want to return to Capri next time we're in Naples - beautiful place.happysm

I doubt if you can do both justice in one day too much to see in both places been to Capri twice been right to the top in the cable car stunning.Well its a single seat chair lift. LOL
