Azura will be a great choice for family holidays with activities and entertainment for children of all ages in The Reef children’s clubs. The Reef will be the friendly and familiar base for all children and teenagers and the qualified and experienced ‘Reef Rangers’ will be on hand to ensure the younger members of the family have the holiday of a lifetime, enabling parents to take some time out for themselves.  The Reef on Azura will cater for five key age groups – under two, two to four, five to eight, nine to 12 and 13 to 17 year olds. 

Outdoor deck spaces will be themed and architecturally designed with children’s needs in mind, and the children’s areas will feature the latest gaming consoles and interactive technology.

There will be a comprehensive programme of age-appropriate activities, designed to keep children’s minds and bodies active throughout their holiday.  These will include film shows, quizzes, board games, scavenger hunts around the ship, drama workshops, pool games, sports sessions, singing, dancing, arts and crafts, videos and more. Children’s favourites Noddy and Mr. Bump will be on board to play games and join families for breakfast, adding extra excitement for mini-cruisers.  

Bungee Trampolines, deck 19 aft
Three bungee trampolines will be located high up on deck 19.  The trampolines will be for the enjoyment of anyone over the age of eight years old.   

Family accommodation
Azura will offer a high number of cabins with additional third and fourth beds and two large suites sleeping up to six. This provides good value accommodation for families or groups to share.  

Family shore excursions
Azura’s shore excursion programme will be tailored to suit families looking to make the most of the destinations they visit.  Aqua parks, camel rides, nature trails and theme parks will all feature, ensuring everyone the family is entertained and educated about the ship’s ports of call.  

Night nursery and baby listening service
Parents will be able to relax and enjoy their evenings with Azura’s Night Nursery for children aged six months to five years, open every night from 6pm - 2am.  Azura will also provide an in-cabin baby listening service and pagers will be available to parents to keep in touch with the children while they are in the care of the youth crew.   

Youth crew
All P&O Cruises youth crew have extensive experience. They are practised in the planning and facilitating of a wide range of play and leisure activities for children aged two to 17 years. Relevant qualifications for youth staff working with the under eights are NNEB/CACHE Diploma in Nursery Nursing, BTEC National Diploma in Early Childhood Studies, CACHE/OCR/EDEXCEL City & Guilds Certificate in Childcare & Education and/ or a Teaching Certificate.
